FIRST LOOK AT STAR TREK’S EXCITING NEW COLLAB WITH MAGIC THE GATHERING

As San Diego Comic Con kicks off this weekend, Star Trek fans and tabletop gamers alike are in for a crossover treat! Our convention correspondent, Giraffe, was able to get a look at Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek, Wizards of the Coast’s newest set release for the iconic trading card game.

The set, initially announced earlier this month, celebrates 60 years of Star Trek and brings MTG players into the expansive Star Trek universe, drawing from every era of the franchise to create a whole new MTG experience for fans of all ages.

Wizards of the Coast revealed the complete product lineup, including Play Boosters, Collector Boosters, Commander Decks, Bundles, Beginner Box, Draft Night, and Scene Boxes. Wizards of the Coast have given the cards the “Booster Fun” treatment, with artwork capturing the visual style and optimistic spirit of the Star Trek franchise. There are even the ultra-rare signed Headliner cards, with only 250 of each card, featuring seven different iconic characters.

Magic the Gathering | Star Trek will be considered legal in all MTG formats, allowing fans to fully enjoy the set in both casual and official tournament play. MSRP pricing was announced for all major products, ranging from $6.99 USD (Play Booster) to $159.99 USD (Collector’s Edition Commander Deck).

Magic the Gathering | Star Trek releases November 13, 2026, with preorders available now.
