Paramount Lodge has incredible star trek experience at san diego comic con

Our coverage of San Diego Comic Con continues to the most exciting day of the con! Paramount+ returned again with The Lodge.  Praetor Giraffe ventured in for the free, 50-minute immersive experience located at Happy Does Bar at 340 Fifth Ave in the Gaslamp Quarter.

The Lodge has experiences for all sorts of Paramount properties, including Avatar: The Last Airbender, South Park, Yellowstone / Dutton Ranch and UFC. But what brought Strange New Pod there was, of course, Star Trek. 

Giraffe explored the U.S.S. Port Galley, the bar from Strange New Worlds. The tables and chairs were in the retro tulip style of the 60s, perfect for the 60th anniversary year.

There you could get a Cosmic Drops cocktail made from Rum, Pineapple Juice, Grenadine and Blue curaçao. For those wanting a mocktail they could have a Vulcan Sunset, made from Peach Juice, Lemon Juice and Soda Water.

For those who wanted food, the future is now with Star Trek offerings of food cubes… Watermelon, dragon fruit and cantaloupe!

Entertainment was provided by a live DJ straight out of Orion. While the green-skinned alien was spinning discs while Giraffe was there, there was reportedly also an Andorian DJ. 

Two photos ops had you beaming up in a transporter and one stepping onto a strange new world. 

There was also a display of a rare model of the USS Enterprise, lost for nearly six decades before it turned up on eBay.

The Lodge had a custom pennant as swag, which could have patches applied to it to make something special for each guest.

As with every year, the staff of the Lodge were incredibly friendly and hard working, resetting every fifty minutes so as many attendees as possible could enjoy the experience.

For those at the convention, tickets for the Lodge are sold out, but a standby line is available. It will continue running today (Saturday) and Sunday from 9am to 7pm. It is open to all ages, though guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Guests must be 21 or older with valid ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.
