To Boldy Go: Strange New Worlds returns This July

“I have ever been prone to seek adventure and investigate where a wiser man would have left well enough alone.”
That quote from Edgar Rice Burrough’s novel, A Princess of Mars, spoken by Captain Pike, is where the first teaser for Strange New Worlds begins, with the crew of the Enterprise approaching a rather large Black Hole. Right off the bat, the teaser is putting an emphasis on adventure, something critics (myself not included among them) say there hasn’t been enough of in the series three seasons. Check it out below.
The teaser not only promises adventure, but also gives us a release date that is right around the corner, something that was definitely a concern as the new regime at Paramount continues to throw gut punch after gut punch at the Star Trek franchise. Strange New Worlds season four is approaching us at high warp, with a July 23rd release date, which also marks the first day of San Diego Comic Con. In typical Paramount+ fashion, we can most likely expect a two-episode premiere.
Along with the brand new trailer that features our crew and a whole lot of James Kirk as he inches ever closer to the center seat of the Enterprise, Paramount has also dropped a handful of brand new images you can check out below that seem to be from the first two episodes of the upcoming season. Anson Mount on a horse was all anyone personally needed to show me….oh, and a T-Rex….”We’ve got a T-Rex.”
Make sure to tune into Strange New Pod LIVE this Thursday at 9:30 PM ET for our full breakdown and deep dive the teaser over on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.
