Trek Takes the Streets: Strange New Worlds Comes Alive at San Diego Comic-Con

Trek Takes the Streets: Strange New Worlds Comes Alive at San Diego Comic-Con

If you thought Season 3 of Strange New Worlds was going to quietly drop and settle into your Thursday night watchlist... think again.

Paramount+ and the creative minds at JFI Productions are making first contact with San Diego Comic-Con in the most theatrical, genre-bending way imaginable. This isn’t just another booth or panel; this is a full-on Star Trek experience, and it’s beaming down into the heart of the Gaslamp.

Boldly Go Into Live Star Trek Storytelling

On Saturday, July 26, the city streets will transform into a Starfleet stage, as dancers and performers dressed in U.S.S. Enterprise uniforms bring Strange New Worlds to life. We're talking full-on live immersive theater, blending the bold tones of Season 3's standout episodes, including a noir murder mystery, retro 60s vibes, zombie horror, Vulcan wedding drama, and straight-up sci-fi chaos. If you’ve been loving how this season refuses to stick to one lane, this experience is going to be for you.

This is a living, breathing celebration of genre and galaxy-hopping storytelling, right in the heart of Comic-Con.

Where To Catch the Action

  • Interactive Zone at Petco Park | 3:00–4:00 PM

  • Paramount+ Lodge at Happy Does (340 Fifth Ave) | 6:00–8:00 PM

  • More surprise locations — keep your eyes on @StarTrek socials for updates and pop-up appearances.

This activation isn’t just a photo op (though you’ll want your camera ready). It’s a full sensory experience that brings you inside the narrative, a chance to live Star Trek instead of just watching it.

Star Trek Universe Panel

Earlier that day in Hall H (12:30–2:00 PM PT), fans can catch the official Star Trek Universe panel, featuring the cast and executive producers of both Strange New Worlds and the upcoming Starfleet Academy series. Hosted by the legendary Robert Picardo (yes, THE Doctor), this panel promises exclusive looks, exciting reveals, and probably a surprise or two. It’s SDCC, after all.

A Love Letter to Trek Fans

“This performance is a love letter to Strange New Worlds,” says Stephanie Turek, Creative Director and Choreographer at JFI Productions. “Whether you're here for the sci-fi, the drama, the adventure, or just the sheer joy of it all, there’s something in this for you.”

That sentiment hits home. This show has always been about celebrating the weird, the wondrous, and the very human — and now, fans get to step right into it.

So whether you’re a lifelong Trekker or you just fell in love with Captain Pike’s magnificent hair last week, don’t miss this activation. It’s wild. It’s weird. It’s Trek as performance art — and it’s everything Strange New Worlds represents at its best.

Season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is streaming now on Paramount+, with new episodes dropping Thursdays through September 11.

Experience it on screen and Live it at Comic-Con.
